Go Oregon! wrapping up improvements around the state
New Port Orford Maintenance station
The New Port Orford Maintenance station (left) is now complete, and only two projects remain in the Oregon Department of Transportation's portion of the "Go Oregon!" program. This initiative, created by Governor Kulongoski and the 2009 Oregon Legislature, is one of many investment programs helping keep people on the job and companies at work in Oregon during these slow economic times. "Go Oregon!" is aimed at perserving the public's investment in facilities by taking care of long-deferred maintenance, reducing ongoing costs through energy effcient upgrades, as well as other improvements. The $175 million program has helped Oregonians and communities large and small around the state.
