- Transportation Options Scholarships Available
The Public Transit Division (PTD) Transportation Options (TO) program offers sponsorships to events and campaigns that encourage travelers to rideshare, bicycle, walk, use transit, etc. Examples of recent sponsorships are $4,000 to Southern Oregon’s 2010 Bike/Walk Summit and $7,000 to point2point’s Business Commute Challenge in the Eugene area. It also offers scholarships to TO conferences. For example, Kim Curly of Commute Options for Central Oregon received a scholarship to the 2011 National Bike Summit and then reported the highlights back to the statewide group. Please contact Alison Wiley with your TO sponsorship and scholarship requests at 503-986-4131 and alison.j.wiley@odot.state.or.us.
