The Highway Division is ODOT's most visible arm, spread across Oregon with engineers, road crews and a wide array of other disciplines involved in the maintenance of the state's highways, bridges and other parts of the transportation system.
The Oregon Transportation Commission approved temporary rules for access management on state highways that are in effect beginning January 1, 2012. These rules implement Senate Bill 264 statutory changes signed into law in June 2011. The Department will complete the permanent rule making process to replace these temporary rules later this year.
House Bill 2001, also known as the Oregon Jobs and Transportation Act, is a transportation funding plan adopted by the 2009 Legislature. It addresses important elements of Oregon's transportation system and economy.
