New trains, new corridor director will improve NW passenger rail service
With ridership at record levels, Oregon and Washington are stepping up their partnership on the Northwest’s passenger rail service, hiring a new corridor director to integrate operations across state lines. Improvements on the corridor include upgrades that will increase frequency and reduce travel times between Portland and Seattle, and Oregon will have new trains in service later this year.
