Transportation Commission meets June 30 in Salem

The Oregon Transportation Commission will meet at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, in a telephone conference call originating from the Conference Room at ODOT Headquarters, 1158 Chemeketa St. S.E., in Salem. Oregon Department of Transportation staff will be in the room, the commissioners will participate by phone.
 
Commissioners will discuss amending the 2010 - 2013 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to add the OR 58: Salt Creek Tunnel to Highway 429 project in Lane and Klamath counties. The total cost the project is $5.39 million. The project is included in the Draft 2012 – 2015 STIP. Current conditions require immediate action, however.
 
Meetings of the Oregon Transportation Commission are open to the public. Time will be available at the meeting for commissioners to hear public comments.
